Toy-Story-Of-Terror

Woody, Buzz Lightyear and their plastic posse are back.  Toy Story, the funniest Disney-Pixar movie ever made, has released a television special for Halloween.  Toy Story of Terror still features the voice duo of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. They are joined by former voice cast members Joan Cusack for the lines of cowgirl Jessie, John Ratzenberger who does Hamm’s voice, Don Rickles for Mr. Potato Head and a few more original talents. New toys will be introduced namely Pocketeer, Combat Carl and Mr. Pricklepants. These three characters, along with a few human characters, add up to a adventure for the beloved toys.

In the 30-minute movie, the toys go on a road trip. Mishaps happen, as it always does in all of Pixar’s plots, which unexpectedly take them to a roadside motel. In the trailer, Mr. Potato Head goes missing. The toys find themselves caught up in terrifying events in a monstrous place. Woody and the rest of the gang fear that they will end up lost and forgotten, terrorized by a new owner.  The toys get even more scared as they hear horror stories from new toys. Combat Carl is missing a hand while Mr. Pricklepants screams out horror movie clichés.  The toys eventually solve the mystery of the missing Potato Head and a happy ending is expected.

Toy Story of Terror is a welcome Disney-Pixar animation as kids and adults have truly fallen in love with the characters through the three movies. The Halloween special is something that will glue the family on their seats.  It is spooky and thrilling but surely kids will not have nightmares about it. Toy Story has certain perfection to its animation coupled by amusing characters. Pixar is also known to come up with the best story line which viewers never get tired of. Film critics are lauding the short TV animation and they only have positive reviews for it.

If you’ve been living in Mars the past 15 years, Toy Story first came out in 1995. It raked a whopping $362 million worldwide which prompted two more instalments.  All of the Toy Story movies earned more than $1.9 billion which includes the $32 million earnings from the DVD sales. The Toy Story series is the most critically acclaimed trilogy of all time.  It earned nominations and awards from several accolades.
